Description
Authority does not begin with what you do; it begins with who you are. Identity is the foundation of authority. Being is rooted in identity. And until a believer knows, with unshakeable clarity, who they are in Christ Jesus, they will continue to live beneath the life they were redeemed to walk in; powerful in position, but powerless in practice.
The Church was never called to follow the world. It was called to lead it; to set order, to establish God’s kingdom in every sphere of society; in families, in ministries, in businesses, in careers, in governments, and in culture. The Church is the light of the world and light does not beg for permission to shine. It simply shines, and darkness has no choice but to flee.
But there has been a gap: a generational authority gap, created by ignorance of identity, sustained by a diminished consciousness of who believers are in Christ that has caused the Church to retreat from its God-given place of influence and leadership in society. The result is a world that is desperate for the order, the wisdom, and the glory that only the Church, walking in full authority, can provide.
This book is a call to close that gap.
